My Mum sees a doctor from cardiology Mr Thomas he is Mr Ellises registrar. He is always fantastic with my mum. She had heart failure January 2018 if it was not for the help doctors and nurses in the Royal Glamorgan. she should have died.

ENTER THIS A&E AT YOUR PERIL!!! Taken by Ambulance following very serious Head on crash I sustained from driver in 4X4 Range Rover who drove straight into me, female & 4 months pregnant with twins, who was later Banned from driving. I mention this, as when attending A & E Dept, was unaware that she was also taken there, until overhearing staff saying 'He's the one that caused her accident, could have killed her and those twins' Attitude from staff towards me was appalling, (guilty as charged) after many Hrs of waiting to be seen, was told by staff, whats your problem, you've got a pulse! was later discharged from A & E without assessment and following, attending our family doctor, virtually passed out through my injuries that this Hospital failed to investigate. Currently having treatment with 3 x medical consultants not from this Hospital and waiting a 4 x Hr operation from my injuries that were not detected at this A & E department!!!!

I attended a short outpatients visit. Lots of visitors but no problems getting parked and for free too! Very pleasant surroundings with the soothing sounds of Ely River flowing by.

cleanest ward i've ever been on, and i've been on most of them. Regimental routine seems to work well on ward 9, again i feel compelled to mention the regular cleaner there. Two years ago I was on ward 4 and it was disgusting, though in the cleaner there's defence, she had to do the whole ward alone and that was akin to getting an elephant into a mini! But her work was so rushed, no beds were moved, no cupboards wiped etc. Filthy is the word.Ward 9 was the cleanest ward I've ever stayed on and the staff were mixed with regard to experience and bedside manner. However, it worked.I watched as an ('old school' as you would put it) sister brought back a patient that had just come back from surgery and suddenly lost all pulse, heart rate and we thought she'd gone, but the sister shouted orders around the staff like a sargeant major, having everyone running around like chickens with their heads cut off and brought that patient back not once, but twice. The women on the bay were crying, thanking her, because this particular patient had become part of a friendly group there. The sister carried on giving orders as though she'd just changed a bed,, taking special care to keep that patient on an even keel until the doctors came running around the corner.I was impressed with ward 9, the nurses genuine care, ability to take abuse from the patients and keep a cool friendly demeanour and the cleanliness of the ward.I'm not going to talk about the food.Sorry.

The staff on ward 5 were fantastic to me especially Jayne and Claire. They were very busy but nothing was too much trouble, and also a big thank you to Mr Watermeyer such a lovely man who made sure I understood everything and the theatre staff for taking good care of me and the nurse who cared for me in recovery I cant remember her name but she was lovely.
